Michigan has added its 13th Class of 2017 commitment, from St. Joseph (Mich.) strongside defensive end Corey Malone-Hatcher.
The 6-3, 246-pounder is a four-star ranked the No. 13 strongside defensive end nationally and the No. 7 rising senior in Michigan.
Malone-Hatcher is the fifth in-state prospect to join Michigan's class, along with Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice tight end Carter Dunaway, Oak Park offensive lineman Ja'Raymond Hall, Berrien Springs defensive lineman Phillip Paea, and Orchard Lake St. Mary's linebacker Joshua Ross.
His pledge brings Michigan's class up to No. 6 nationally, passing LSU, Notre Dame, and Clemson for the spot.
Malone-Hatcher had a top group that included Oklahoma, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, UCLA, Tennessee, Ohio State, Alamaba, and Penn State, but chose to stay in state by selecting the Maize and Blue.
