Film Breakdown: JaRaymond Hall

Oak Park (Mich.) junior offensive tackle Ja'Raymond Hall is a member of Michigan's "Pipeline 9" and when you watch him on film you can see why Michigan, along with Penn State and several MAC schools, have offered the 6-5, 255-pounder.
Hall is a three-star prospect considered the No. 33 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 9 player in Michigan.

Strengths: Hall is a very athletic prospect at offensive tackle. He has a long, lean build that allows him to get out and move extremely well. He isn't bulky at all but has surprising strength in his lower half and uses it to drive defenders effectively. When he gets locked on to a defender his quick feet and athletic ability allow him to stay between that defender and his quarterback. He's also a very hard worker and has good leadership qualities on the offensive line.
Areas of Improvement: Hall is long but he doesn't have a frame that looks like he could add a ton of weight. His lower body is well built and powerful but he'll need to gain strength in his upper body. He's also still learning the technique and fundamentals of what it takes to be really good on the line and added experience and coaching will take that part of his game to the next level.
Bottom Line: When Hall gets to college it's realistic to think that he'll weigh around 275-280. That's pretty typical for a freshman offensive lineman and with time in the weight room he could get up to 305-315 and maintain very solid athleticism and lightness on his feet. He has the raw ability to be very good and is certainly a prospect that should play at a high level in a Power 5 conference.
