After visiting his two favorites, Michigan and Penn State, last week, four-star offensive lineman Grant Newsome has made a decision - and it's Michigan, he announced via twitter.
The 6-7, 280-pounder from Lawrenceville, N.J., is ranked the No. 199 prospect in the country according to Rivals.com, the No. 4 player in New Jersey and the No. 21 offensive tackle nationally. Newsome holds 29 offers, including Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Ohio State, South Carolina and Wisconsin.
Newsome becomes the seventh commitment in U-M's 2015 class, and its fifth four-star recruit. He is also the fourth future Wolverine ranked in the Rivals250, joining DB Garrett Taylor (No. 48), LB Darrin Kirkland (No. 167) and DB Tyree Kinnel (No. 193).
Newsome knew it was Michigan
He discusses the decision with Rivals.com Mid-Atlantic Recruiting Analyst Adam Friedman.
TheWolverine.com will have more on Newsome in the hours and days to come.
