Michigan's Summer Swarm camp tour has been everything expected and more, according to campers and prep coaches nationwide. Head coach Jim Harbaugh and his staff are over halfway through the event, and they've opened eyes for friend and foe alike.
The circuit began Thursday, June 4 at Indianapolis Bishop Chatard. The Indianapolis Star's Greg Doyel was among those to call out Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who called satellite camps "ridiculous."

"I think Alabama football coach Nick Saban is all about Nick Saban," Doyel wrote. "I think he's possibly scared of Michigan's Jim Harbaugh. I think he's definitely not concerned, not even a little bit, with the kids at Chatard who were dreaming Thursday about college football."
Michigan picked up commitments from Indianapolis duo Chris Evans and Kiante Enis shortly thereafter. Indy four-star quarterback pledge Brandon Peters was also on hand, and he and Enis both enjoyed being taught by the Michigan coaches.

June 5, Prattville, Ala. (Prattville Elite Football Camp)
This is where Harbaugh made waves by taking his shirt off and running Peru Ball with the campers, which led to Ohio State fans and coaches tweeting this:

The Montogmery Advertiser reported that 475 kids made it to the Prattville Camp, compared to 165 in Indianapolis, and that Harbaugh said he was "as excited as when I was coaching in the Super Bowl."
He was just as animated here as he was in Indianapolis, even more when he participated in shirtless Peru Ball. It took six fields to accommodate all the campers.
"I'm not taking my shirt off. He loves it, that's his personality. And you can tell it's genuine," Prattville coach Chad Anderson said. "You can definitely tell with the way he moves around, how he coaches the kids, he's not looking around at the reactions. He's focused on what he's got to get done, and he does it the way he wants to do it."
Anderson said the 475-player turnout was "better than expected" and helped bring more exposure to the already prestigious Prattville program.
"On behalf of all of the coaches here, especially all of the Michigan coaches, that was a blast," Harbaugh said. "That was as fun as any game that I've coached in or played in, because it was this day. I was like a pig in slop today. It felt good to be out here playing football."
Harbaugh ended it with this speech:

June 6, Tampa, Fla. (USF One Day Camp)
The big news here was how the local media rallied around Harbaugh and the satellite camp idea, including TampaBay.com.
"Someone says "satellite camp," and skeptics construe a scenario in which a Power Five coaching staff descends on another campus for a day to oversee a thinly-veiled recruiting combine. In some cases, that scenario plays out," they wrote.
"Not this one. The benefits for [USF head coach Willie] Taggart's program far outweigh any that Harbaugh and Co. may derive. Could the Wolverines make an inroad with some prospects at Saturday's event? Sure. But let's suppose the camp attracts 30 bona fide recruits who never have stepped foot on the Morsani Practice Complex.
"The Wolverines can't - and won't - get them all. May not even get two or three. Meantime, that's 30 potential new Bulls prospects exposed to USF's football digs and sprawling campus. If Harbaugh were horning in on Gainesville or Tallahassee, the argument may be altered. In this situation, there should be no argument."
"I think it's a good opportunity, not only for us and Michigan and whoever else is doing them, but for the student-athletes more importantly," Taggart said. "Over the last however many years, kids have been just traveling around, spending a lot of money going to camps trying to earn themselves a scholarship. To me, I feel like the right thing to do is for us to go out and go to them and give them an opportunity to be seen by multiple schools. In recruiting, at the end of the day it comes down to relationships and putting in the work to build those relationships to get the kids. But I think at the end of the day it's right for the kids."
June 7, Easton, Pa. (Lauren's First & Goal Camp)
LehighValleyLive.com reports that the camp earned $101,800 for brain cancer victim Lauren Loose. There were 2,162 campers in attendance for this one.

"Everybody always talks about being a leader, you got to be a leader. Before you ever become a leader, you have to become a good follower," Harbaugh said. "And everybody assumes that if you are a follower, that you are going to follow somebody that is screwing up or that somebody is doing the wrong or somebody that is lazy. Somebody that's not very happy; somebody that's making the wrong decisions. Why would you do that? Who would be dumb enough to do that? No, we're going to follow somebody good, somebody who's spiritual, somebody that's smart, somebody that's happy. Pick them - pick those people to follow. And find one every day."
Harbaugh said he found somebody to follow on Sunday.
"I got a new one. I got Lauren Loose now. I'm going to follow her," Harbaugh said. "I'm going to follow her example. Fighter, courageous, happy, spiritual. She's got what I'm looking for. I'm going to follow her. Find somebody. Find somebody every day. You know who's doing right. Go be a good follower. Learn how to do that."
LehighValleyLive.com reports Loose is the daughter of former Lafayette defensive coordinator and current Army defensive coach John Loose. She is a pediatric brain tumor survivor and the football camp's namesake. The event raises funds for brain tumor research and cancer services through the Lauren's First and Goal Foundation.
Sunday's event raised $101,800 and the total for the year is $132,787.
"I want to thank everyone for coming and supporting Lauren's First and Goal," Lauren Loose said to the crowd. "I want to thank Coach Harbaugh for speaking today. When we first started this camp, I was in first grade. On Tuesday, I will be graduating from high school."
There were 370 college coaches from all over the country at Sunday's camp, including staffs from Lafayette, Lehigh, Muhlenberg, Moravian, Kutztown, Rutgers, Army and Michigan. Also attending: former Lafayette and San Francisco 49ers player Blake Costanzo, who was a special teams standout for Harbaugh when he was coaching the 49ers.
"He's all football," Costanzo said of Harbaugh. "He's 100 percent football. He eats it, sleeps it, breathes it. It's been part of his life, obviously, since he was younger with his dad and his brothers. He loves it so he's very passionate about it."
