Uche is a 6-1, 217-pound three-star ranked the No. 22 weakside defensive end nationally and the No. 50 senior in the state of Florida. He picked Michigan over Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and Miami - one of the more impressive lists of suitors out there. He decommitted from the Hurricanes in November, and is the second member of Michigan's class (along with Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan linebacker Devin Gil) to be a previous Miami pledge.

Although undersized to be a true defensive end, Uche has the explosive speed of the edge to be a pass-rushing force, and can play an end/linebacker hybrid position. He was first-team All-Dade County according to the Miami Herald.

He is commitment No. 23 in the class, and edges Michigan past Notre Dame in the Rivals.com Team Recruiting Rankings to No. 4 overall.
