That’s Michigan fifth-year senior running back Drake Johnson’s reaction after a freak accident yesterday at the indoor track and field building.
Sources say a forklift hit Johnson while he was stretching/resting.
“On Wednesday, an accident occurred at the indoor track and field building involving student-athlete Drake Johnson,” an athletic department statement reads. “He was evaluated but a U-M Athletic Department team physician and was referred to the U-M Health System for further evaluation.”
Johnson has suffered two ACL injuries in his time at Michigan but came back strong last year, running for 271 yards and four touchdowns on 5.0 yards per carry, and is in line for significant playing time this fall. He joined the track team in January and finished third overall and second in his heat of the 60 meter hurdles at the Alex Wilson Invitational (Feb. 20) in 8.59.
