Michigan Football: Jim Harbaugh Announces New Roster

On Wednesday morning, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh tweeted out a picture of this year's roster. It comes just three days before the season kicks off in Texas.

Here are some of the notable changes spotted on it:

Defensive end Shelton Johnson is no longer on the roster.

Redshirt freshman defensive tackle Ron Johnson is now No. 97, while sophomore Nate Johnson has moved from receiver to defensive back, and is No. 17 (was No. 25).

Redshirt junior Drake Harris has also moved from receiver to defensive back and has changed his jersey number from No. 14 to No. 6.

Freshman James Hudson is listed as an offensive lineman instead of defensive end, while redshirt junior Jared Wangler will play fullback after a switch from linebacker.

Sophomore tight end Nick Eubanks has switched from No. 18 to No. 82.

Redshirt sophomore Reuben Jones has moved from linebacker to defensive line.

Junior receiver Grant Perry has switched from No. 9 to No. 88.

Sophomore receiver Nate Schoenle has changed from No. 35 to No. 81.

After being absent from last year's roster, redshirt junior kicker Kyle Seychel has been added back onto it, and has gone from No. 16 to No. 39.

Wilton Speight's younger brother, Jess, has been added as a walk-on offensive lineman.

Freshman cornerback Ambry Thomas had been reportedly wearing No. 13, but is listed as No. 1.

Redshirt sophomore kicker Ryan Tice has switched from No. 41 to No. 6.

Redshirt sophomore quarterback Alex Malzone has changed from No. 12 to No. 15.
