Ole Miss sophomore safety Deontay Anderson is not transferring to Michigan.

He told The Wolverine via text that his transcripts did not go through, which signals it was an admissions issue, not a football one.

Anderson is one of three Ole Miss players that visited Ann Arbor this past weekend, and was in attendance at Saturday's Michigan basketball game. Sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson and redshirt sophomore wide receiver Van Jefferson are the other two. Patterson announced his commitment to Michigan Monday afternoon on Twitter.

As a freshman, he played in every game recording 32 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and one interception. He was named to the Freshman All-SEC Second Team by Athlon Sports. He sat out his sophomore season voluntarily to preserve a year of eligibility after Ole Miss was hit with sanctions for violating NCAA rules.
