Michigan Offers 2019 Tight End Jude Wolfe
Per his Twitter, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco three-star tight end Jude Wolfe picked up a Michigan offer yesterday afternoon.
The 6-6, 247-pounder has the tweet pinned at the top of his account and took the time to attach a photo of Jake Butt to his tweet. Michigan joins Oregon, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington as one of the bigger name schools in pursuit of the No. 8 tight end in the country.
Chris Steele Supports Michigan's Offer Of Jude Wolfe
After Wolfe tweeted out that he had been offered by Michigan, his teammate and top Michigan target, four-star cornerback Chris Steele, replied to Wolfe's tweet with "The Move" implying that heading to Michigan is the way to go.
Steele, the No. 2 cornerback and No. 26 prospect overall has shown up repeatedly on almost every edition of The Daily Rewind indicating that Michigan is putting a lot of effort into his recruiting and that Steele is paying very close attention to what U-M is doing on the recruiting trail.
Michigan Commit Otis Reese Shouts Out "His" Michigan Coaches
Long-time Michigan commit and four-star outside linebacker Otis Reese got a visit from some of the U-M staff last night and made it a point to thank them and referred to them as "my coaches" in the tweet.
The No. 6 outside linebacker and No. 116 prospect overall has been recruited very hard by Georgia and has been reciprocating the interest. The 6-2, 195-pounder been to Athens many times going starting in spring, through the summer, and now into the fall. Many close to the situation down in Georgia believe that Reese will eventually flip to the Bulldogs but for now, he's a Wolverine and he was glad to see his potential future coaches at his game.
No. 2 Overall 2019 Prospect Ishmael Sopsher Puts Michigan In Updated Top Group
Michigan offered Amite (La.) High five-star defensive tackle Ishmael Sopsher in early September and now the Wolverines are in his top group.
The 6-4, 305-pounder is the No. 1 defensive tackle and No. 2 prospect overall nationally in the 2019 class and is deep in SEC country so it's a big deal that U-M was able to jump into the mix so quickly. It's also worth noting that Sopsher has a Michigan graphic as his Twitter header.
2018 Defensive Line Target Ronnie Perkins Receives A Birthday Graphic
A lot of schools wished St. Louis Lutheran North four-star strongside defensive end Ronnie Perkins a birthday but only one of them portrayed Jim Harbaugh presenting him with a birthday cake.
Perkins, the No. 13 strongside defensive end and No. 243 prospect overall, thanked Harbaugh and defensive line coach Greg Mattison for the birthday wishes. Perkins has said in the past that Mattison is one of his favorite coaches and will almost singlehandedly keep U-M in the mix for his services.
Jim Harbaugh Swings By Lowndes To Check On Michael Barrett
Michigan continues its pursuit of Valdosta (Ga.) Lowndes three-star athlete Michael Barrett as evidenced by the tweet showing Jim Harbaugh posing with Lowndes head coach Randy McPherson.
The Michigan staff likes Barrett at running back at 6-0, 200 pounds. They would love to land the No. 78 player in Georgia to compliment fellow Georgian Christian Turner in their 2018 backfield haul.
Christian Turner Makes Another Huge Highlight Run
Speaking of Turner, the 5-10, 180-pounder is trying to break the internet again with another highlight run. This one wasn't as long as his 80-yard jaw dropper from earlier this year but it was equally impressive because of his drive, effort and strength.
Oddly, this was Turner's only carry of the game which may indicate that he was injured in the contest. Regardless, it's easy to see why he's considers a power back despite not being very big at just 180 pounds.
Top Michigan Tight End Target Mustapha Muhammad At UCLA This Weekend
Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point four-star tight end Mustapha Muhammad is one of Michigan's top targets in 2018 and is considered a strong U-M lean. With that being said, the 6-5, 225-pounder will be in L.A. this weekend for an official visit at UCLA.
The No. 19 tight end in the country has been pretty open about how much he likes Michigan but has also said that he'll continue to enjoy the recruiting process and plans to take all of his official visits. UCLA hasn't been overly impressive this year and has a tough game against Colorado tonight at 10:30 EST.
Nation's Top Tight End Receives Visit From Greg Frey
Carterville (Ill.) High four-star tight end Luke Ford is still also very high on Michigan's board. The U-M staff has its work cut out for his services but Greg Frey is putting in the work and was at Ford's high school this morning.
The 6-7, 247-pound Ford is believed to be leaning toward Alabama but Michigan is right there and continues to give him something to think about. It'll be interesting to watch his recruitment play out.
Bryan Addison Ready For Ann Arbor Official Visit
Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra four-star athlete Bryan Addison was supposed to be in Michigan for U-M's BBQ in late July will finally make his way to campus this upcoming weekend for an official visit.
The 6-5, 175-pounder shines at wide receiver and safety in high school and could get a legitimate look at both positions at the next level. Michigan is recruiting him that way and it appears to be working. The No. 3 athlete and No. 59 prospect overall nationally has his Michigan-offer tweet pinned to the top of his page and is very seriously considering U-M as his future home.
