2017 Projection

Michigan’s linebacking corps is going to be slightly young and inexperienced in 2017, and that could make it possible for a freshman to contribute. Anthony has all of the tools to do so. He’s extremely active, well-built, athletic and instinctive as a linebacker — that could be enough to earn some playing time in his rookie campaign. Don’t expect Anthony to redshirt as a true freshman.

They Said It

Rivals.com National Recruiting Analyst Mike Farrell: “Anthony is not the longest linebacker, but he has a non-stop motor and will be an instant favorite of defensive coordinator Don Brown. With Michigan's multiple blitzing schemes, having a guy like Anthony who times things up well and can come off the edge will be an asset.”

Rivals.com Southeast Recruiting Analyst Rob Cassidy: “Anthony is the most active member of an IMG defense that might just be the nation’s best. He moves incredibly well laterally and is a versatile player that shined as a running back before moving to linebacker full time. He’s as disruptive a linebacker as there is in the class and seems to be in the backfield on most snaps.”
