Rivals updated its top 100 recruiting rankings for the class of 2018 yesterday, and finished off the update with revised top 250 today.

The Wolverines wound up with two commits and eight realistic targets in the top 100, but just two commits and one target rated from No. 100 to No. 250.

First, here's a look at the moves Michigan's two commits made inside the Rivals250.

Commits

Orlando Olympia four-star quarterback Joe Milton took a bit of a tumble, falling from No. 105 overall to No. 189.

Rivals.com Southeast recruiting analyst Rob Cassidy explained why the signal-caller dropped 84 spots.

“It was a tough year for Milton, but everyone’s known that was a possibility for some time," Cassidy said. "A Michigan commit, Milton has every physical gift, including a monster arm but he continues to make poor decisions with the football and polish his footwork.

"Milton could end up being a superstar, but he still needs polishing. The ceiling is high.”

Indianapolis Lawrence Central four-star linebacker Cameron McGrone didn't move a single spot, staying at No. 238 overall.

He also remained the fourth-best player in the state of Indiana, and will play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 6.

McGrone spoke in mid-October about how much of an honor it will be to participate in the contest.

Target

Blairstown (N.J.) Blair Academy four-star defensive end Jayson Oweh shot up 55 spots from No. 179 to No. 124.

Rivals' Mid-Atlantic recruiting analyst Adam Friedman expanded a bit on Oweh's leap.

“An athletic specimen, Oweh is fairly new to football, which makes his dominance all the more impressive," Friedman explained. "Penn State, Ohio State and a few others are pushing very hard for Oweh because of his speed and agility off the edge but also because of how quickly he's been able to improve his technique.”

Surprisingly, Oweh is the only realistic Michigan target currently still available that is rated between No. 100 and No. 250.
