After a long-anticipated wait, the Rivals100 for the class of 2019 was officially released on Monday. Several Michigan targets and commits were included in it throughout, and it’s becoming more and more evident that 2019 could wind up being a special class for the Wolverines.

Here’s a look at where Michigan’s commits and notable targets were ranked in Monday's release, rated from highest to lowest:

Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian five-star strongside defensive end Christopher Hinton shocked the recruiting world when he committed to Michigan on Saturday night. Hinton is an extremely important pickup for the Wolverines not only because of how highly he's rated, but because he's yet another elite recruit Jim Harbaugh has nabbed from the South.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star running back Noah Cain is just the latest exceptional player out of the prep powerhouse in Florida, and was actually at Michigan's Elite 1-Day camp in late June. He said the Wolverines moved up a notch for him after that visit, citing how much he loves their pro-style offense.

When Louisville Trinity four-star weakside defensive end Stephen Herron pledged to Michigan during last Saturday's barbecue, it caught many people off guard. The fact that he committed to the Wolverines wasn't necessarily surprising, but that he did it so early in the process was. With Hinton and Herron in the fold, Michigan now has two of the seven best defensive ends in the class of 2019.

Tampa Plant four-star offensive guard Will Putnam picked up a Michigan offer on June 20, and checked out Ann Arbor just over a month later on July 26. Though he lives in Florida, Putnam explained his family has moved around a lot due to his father being in the military, and that location won't be an issue for him when making a college decision.

Akron (Ohio) Hoban four-star offensive guard Nolan Rumler was one of two huge commitments — along with Herron — Michigan picked up at last Saturday's barbecue. Even though he grew up in Ohio, Rumler explained that Michigan always felt like home to him, and that he had no problem not choosing the home-state Buckeyes.
