Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian five-star strongside defensive end Christopher Hinton announced via Twitter that Michigan would be one of six schools he'll continue to focus on throughout his recruitment.
Michigan, along with Georgia, Stanford, Clemson, North Carolina and Ohio State have made enough of an impression to make the cut for the 6-5, 265-pounder.
The Wolverines have only landed one prospect in the 2019 class, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star outside linebacker Charles Thomas, but he's originally from Georgia and had already been tweeting at Hinton and others from The Peach State about joining him in Ann Arbor. Michigan's class in 2019 is projected to be on the small side again but it could be stacked with elite talent like Hinton if things play out in U-M's favor with a couple of interested prospects.
