Rivals updated its list of the top 150 basketball players in the 2018 class on Monday afternoon, and several Michigan targets and commits made significant moves.
Perhaps the most important move of all came from Detroit East English Village point guard David Dejulius. Dejulius had previously been a three-star, but was moved up to four-star status after averaging 14 points per game for The Family on the AAU circuit this summer. He also jumped from the No. 129 overall player to No. 117.
East Lansing High four-star power forward and Michigan commit Brandon Johns remained a four-star, but fell 15 spots from No. 43 to No. 58. He is now rated as the second-best player in the state of Michigan, behind Grand Rapids Catholic Central four-star power forward Marcus Bingham.
Numerically, Pickerington (Ohio) Pickerington North four-star small forward Jerome Hunter made the biggest leap of any remaining Michigan target on the board, moving up an astounding 32 spots from No. 79 overall to No. 47.
Although he didn't make as big of a leap as Hunter, Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh four-star shooting guard Noah Locke also moved up significantly, jumping from No. 94 overall to No. 73.
Two other Michigan targets made small improvements, including South Bend (Ind.) Riley four-star small forward Damezi Anderson from No. 103 to No. 101, and St. Louis Whitfield four-star shooting guard Torrence Watson from No. 108 to No. 99.
Meanwhile, Plymouth (Minn.) Armstrong three-star power forward Race Thompson just missed out on four-star status, dropping five spots from No. 116 to No. 121.
