Welcome to TheWolverine.com. We appreciate that you've chosen to spend your time here, and hope that you come back often. Feel free to look around and enjoy the many free and premium features that this site offers. And by all means, please tell your friends about us.
While you are of course encouraged to post on the various message boards that we have here, we try to keep this site enjoyable for everyone by enforcing some simple rules of conduct.
The Fort is a forum that is dedicated to general talk about Michigan athletics and related topics. Please keep the discussions limited to that general area. We also ask you to keep the conversation civil and in good taste.
Please refrain from using vulgar language, personal attacks, racial and ethnic slurs, or sexual innuendos. Remember that this is a board for all ages, and young people may be reading your posts.
• No personal attacks of any kind. This includes attacks on recruits, other posters, and the Michigan coaches and players. Constructive criticism is allowed, and even welcome, but personal attacks are not.
Please realize that there is often a fine line between a personal attack and criticism. In other words, saying "So-and-so sucks," is not acceptable. Saying "So-and-so's play-calling or decisions were questionable" is allowed.
• No profanity is allowed. Basically, if you can't say it around children, you shouldn't be saying it here.
• No posting of pornographic pictures, links or obscene material of any kind.
• Debate and disagree as much as you like, but please do so in a courteous and respectful manner. If another poster expresses an opinion that you disagree with, tell him why he's wrong in a respectable manner, instead of calling him a "moron" or "idiot" or any inflammatory term.
• Use good judgment when posting signature pictures. Anything too racy or in bad taste will be asked to be removed or it will be blocked. If you are uncertain if your signature crosses the line, you are encouraged to ask one of the moderators in a private e-mail.
It is also strongly encouraged that you limit the size of your signature pictures in order to make the board easier to read for everyone.
• Any post or premium content item that is reposted on 'any' other free forum at TheWolverine.com or at another internet site subjects the violator to immediate blacklisting. In fact, it can be expected.
• TheWolverine.com and Rivals is respectful to any competitor and we would discourage anyone from 'promoting' this forum at a competitor's domain. In turn, we expect the same courtesy to be shown here. There will be no linking of a competitor's site with the intent to 'promote' that site. The post will be deleted immediately, and repeat offenders may be subject to blacklisting.
• We reserve the right to edit or delete any post or blacklist any poster that we feel is inflammatory, libelous, or in any way contrary to the purpose of the board.
• Anyone who disregards these rules and guidelines could be deleted or blacklisted immediately
• Please refer to the statement below that you agreed to when signing up to post on Rivals.
The Rivals network is supported by advertising and the generous donations of services by several companies. The forums, chat rooms and other services are provided free of charge to users with the understanding that they are to be used for reasonable forms of communication, and not for "flaming", libel, or slander. Users are responsible for the content of their own posts. By signing up to participate in the Rivals services, or by using these services you agree that Rivals is in no way responsible for the content of these services. By signing up to post on our forums and chat rooms, you agree that you are responsible for any content which you post, and that you will not post copyrighted content, illegal content, or other content that Rivals would find objectionable.
Rivals reserves the right to delete any post which it feels is inflammatory, libelous, or in any way contrary to the purpose of the Rivals network; however, as stated above, Rivals deletes these posts as a courtesy to readers and is not responsible for the content of posts that may or may not be deleted in a prompt manner.
Rivals also reserves the right to "blacklist" any user for any reason at any time. Any user that is blacklisted will no longer be able to post to any of Rivals' forums or chat rooms. Repeated abuse by a poster under several email addresses and nicknames will subject the user to notification of their behavior to their ISP and publishing of their personal information, including email addresses and phone number. We hope you enjoy your stay at TheWolverine.com. Please tell your friends about us.
