2016 QB commits to Michigan

Michigan picked up a commitment today from 2016 quarterback Messiah DeWeaver, the 6-3, 198-pounder announced via twitter Wednesday afternoon.
DeWeaver is on U-M's campus, participating in the Michigan Summer Football Camp. The Trotwood, Ohio native also held offers from Cincinnati, Kentucky and Louisville.

He took part in last week's Sound Mind Sound Body camp and was ranked the No. 2 prospect in the first session by Rivals.com Midwest Recruiting Analyst Josh Helmholdt.
"After camps at Cincinnati and Texas in the last week you would think DeWeaver's arm might be feeling some fatigue, but the rising junior was as sharp as we have seen him during Thursday's action," Helmholdt wrote. "He went through position drills efficiently but really shined in the one-on-one session where he was varying his trajectory to put passes in windows that didn't appear to be there until the receiver caught the ball."
DeWeaver becomes the second commitment in the 2016 class, joining offensive tackle Erik Swenson.
