A Look At Michigan's Five Biggest Recruiting Needs In 2021
The 2020 recruiting class is behind us.
With National Signing Day coming to a close, Michigan has opted not to make any late additions. The Wolverines signed 23 players in December and once again boast a highly touted class.
Now, it's time to look ahead to 2021. The Wolverines already have a pair of commits for next cycle and are looking to add more talent.
Here is a look at Michigan's five biggest needs.
1. Quarterback
Michigan lost four-star quarterback JD Johnson to medical retirement late in the cycle and was forced to take a project in little known Long Island signal-caller Dan Villari. That's not exactly ideal for arguably the most important position in football. The good news is Michigan already holds a commitment from 2021 Rivals100 quarterback JJ McCarthy, so the Wolverines have basically filled this need. The only thing they need to do is keep McCarthy onboard. And that shouldn't be a problem at all. McCarthy, an elite level talent, is the face of the class and is already working hard to recruit others to Ann Arbor.
