Antonio Bass to announce today at 10 a.m.

Jackson (Mich.) athlete Antonio Bass has taken every visit he's going to take and met with the coaches of the schools in which he's still interested. Now, it's simply a matter of announcing his decision. The Rivals.com four-star athlete took steps toward doing just that Monday by announcing a date for his decision.

The Bass family has decided Wednesday, Dec. 22 will be the day one coaching staff gets an early Christmas present by receiving Bass' commitment. Rivals.com's No. 5 athlete and No. 42 player overall is thought to be torn between Michigan and Michigan State, with the Spartans' pitch that he'll play quarterback at MSU a big selling point in closing the gap between the two schools.

LSU and Virginia Tech were two of Bass' other finalists.

"He's not leaning in either direction that I know of at this point," Jackson head coach Jack Fairly told HokieHaven.com, confirming it's a Michigan - MSU battle. "All I know is we have a press conference set up for Wednesday and we'll all find out where he is going then."
