One former Michigan captain played a great game, and another made the game-winning play in this year's Super Bowl. Philadelphia defensive lineman Brandon Graham's late fourth quarter strip of New England's Tom Brady was the big play in the Eagles' 41-33 victory.
Graham, a defensive end, moved inside on the play and notched the only sack of the game from the position, punching the ball away just as Brady was about to throw it.
Brady had led three straight touchdown drives of 75 yards and had 2:21 remaining with the Patriots down five, and it appeared he was ready to work some more magic. But the Eagles recovered the fumble, kicked a field goal and survived one last drive that ended in an incomplete Hail Mary attempt.
Graham notched two solo tackles in the win. Brady finished 28 of 48 for an amazing 505 yards with three touchdowns against a tough Philadelphia defense. It was the first Super Bowl ring for Graham ... Brady is now five for eight on the big stage.
According to ESPN, Brady became the first quarterback in NFL history to lose a game with at least 500 passing yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions (regular season or playoffs).
