Commitment Updates: Marshall, Winovich get defensive

Southfield (Mich.) defensive end Lawrence Marshall was credited with five tackles for loss in a 20-12 win against rival Oak Park, and Thomas Jefferson (Pa.) linebacker Chase Winovich added three sacks and back-to-back blocked punts of his own in the Jaguar's 44-6 demolition of Trinity.

Mason Cole: Cole's work in the trenches helped East Lake (4-0) gain over 300 yards of total offense in a 61-16 decimation of Clearwater … The Eagles are home against Tarpon Springs Sept. 27.
Michael Ferns: Ferns fueled St. Clairsville's (4-0) defense in a 35-14 victory over Martins Ferry, recording 12 tackles, including one for loss, and forcing a fumble … Offensively, he rushed for 16 yards on six carries (2.7 yards per carry) … Ferns has stymied 41 ball carriers, including five behind the line of scrimmage, and forced a fumble this season … The Red Devils welcome Indian Creek Sept. 27.
Noah Furbush: Kenton (4-0) blanked Van Wert 32-0 … The Wildcats are home against Shawnee Sept. 27.
Drake Harris: Harris missed his fourth-straight game for Grand Rapids Christian (3-1) due to a hamstring injury, but the Eagles still crushed Hudsonville 34-7 … Harris could return to the field when Grand Rapids Christian battles East Grand Rapids Sept. 27.
Lawrence Marshall: Marshall stockpiled 11 tackles, including five for loss, and forced a fumble for a stingy Southfield (3-1) defense in a 20-12 win over Oak Park … Marshall has recorded 16 tackles for loss and nine sacks this year … The Bluejays will be tested on the road against Farmington Hills Harrison Sept. 27.
Bryan Mone: Mone contributed five tackles, including one tackle for loss, but Highland (3-2) fell to East 29-7 … As a senior, Mone has made 15 tackles, including three tackles for loss and a sack … The Rams host Clearfield Sept. 27.
Brady Pallante: Barron Collier (2-1) stumbled against Immokalee 26-3 … The Cougars meet Fort Meyers at home Sept. 27.
Jabrill Peppers: Peppers rushed seven times for 41 yards (5.9 yards per carry), caught four passes for 49 yards (12.3 yards per reception) and a touchdown, and made four tackles to help Paramus Catholic (3-0) survive a late charge by DePaul in a 35-21 victory … Peppers has rushed for 217 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries (9.8 yards per carry), caught eight passes for 107 yards (13.4 yards per reception) and four scores, collected 13 tackles and intercepted a pass this year … The Knights travel out of state to play St. Ignatius (Oh.) Wilton Speight: Speight completed 17-of-33 passes (51.5 percent) for 260 yards and three touchdowns to lead The Collegiate School (3-0) to a 30-7 win over Flint Hill … Speight has already thrown for 857 yards and 10 touchdowns this year … The Cougars journey to Episcopal Sept. 27.
Jared Wangler: Wangler registered seven tackles, including one sack, and grabbed nine passes for 111 yards (12.3 yards per reception), but Warren De La Salle (1-2) lost to Brother Rice 26-24 ... Wangler has made 24 stops this season, including one sack, and caught 13 passes for 143 yards (17.9 yards per reception) … The Pilots play at St. Mary's Sept. 27.

Maurice Ways: Ways boosted Country Day's (1-3) offense with three receptions for 43 yards (14.3 yards per reception) and a touchdown in a decisive 42-0 victory over Detroit Pershing … Ways has totaled 326 yards and four touchdowns on 17 receptions (19.2 yards per reception) on the year … The Yellow Jackets look to keep the momentum going at Escanaba Sept. 28.
Chase Winovich: Winovich was all over the field for Thomas Jefferson (4-0) in a 44-6 lambasting of Trinity, making six tackles, including three sacks, and blocking two punts … Winovich has amassed 35 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, two blocked punts and six offensive touchdowns this season … The Jaguars are on the road against Albert Gallatin Sept. 27.

George Campbell: Campbell's 61-yard touchdown grab helped East Lake (4-0) manhandle Clearwater 61-16 … This year, Campbell has snared six passes for 204 yards (34.0 yards per reception) and three touchdowns this … The Eagles welcome Tarpon Springs Sept. 27.
Shaun Crawford: Crawford stole the show during St. Edwards' (4-0) 48-7 win over Elder, tallying seven tackles, including three for loss, running for 124 yards and two touchdowns on nine rushes (13.8 yards per carry), catching three passes for 31 yards (10.3 yards per reception), and returning a punt 63 yards for a score … The Eagles make the trek to McDowell (Pa.) Sept. 28.
Andrew David: David missed his only field goal attempt- a 44-yarder-but averaged 43.0 yards on two punts, placing one inside the 20-yard line, and booted four kickoffs out of the endzone to help Massillon (4-0) control field position in a 35-6 triumph over Lake Catholic … The Tigers hit the road to face Steubenville Oct. 4.
Damien Harris: Madison Southern enjoyed a bye week … In just four games this season, Harris has exploded for 1,057 rushing yards (264.3 yards per game) and 14 touchdowns, and has also returned a kickoff for a score … The Eagles hope to remain undefeated Sept. 27 at South Laurel.
Tyree Kinnel: Kinnel made four tackles in Wayne's (3-1) 49-20 win over Xenia … This year, Kinnel has stopped 15 runners … The Warriors visit Butler Sept. 27.
