Michigan features as many top-31 players for the 2016 college football season as defending national champion Alabama, in one view.

Pro Football Focus is out with its list of the nation’s top 100 for 2016, topped by Stanford running back Christian McCaffrey. The Wolverines make frequent appearances on the list, with four in the aforementioned top 31.

Senior cornerback Jourdan Lewis leads the pack, ranking No. 7 overall. Redshirt sophomore linebacker/safety Jabrill Peppers checks in at No. 16, redshirt junior defensive tackle Maurice Hurst at No. 27, and fifth-year senior defensive lineman Chris Wormley at No. 31.

‘Bama is the only other team with four ranked that high, putting players in the No. 19, 26, 28 and 30 spots. Aside from Michigan players, the Big Ten has four performers in those top 31 positions, including Iowa cornerback Desmond King at No. 9, Illinois defensive end Dawuane Smoot at No. 20, Michigan State defensive tackle Malik McDowell at No. 23 and Ohio State guard Pat Elflein at No. 29.

The publication also places Michigan fifth-year senior defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow at No. 72.
