Michigan Wolverines basketball three-star small forward pledge Jace Howard, son of head coach Juwan Howard, signed his national letter of intent with U-M on Wednesday, he said on Instagram live.
Howard committed to U-M on Jan. 20, and intended to sign as a scholarship player at the time. Last week however, Howard told The Wolverine that he intended on walking on for his first season in Ann Arbor.

Michigan Football & Basketball Each Shined During The 2020 Recruiting Cycle
As many things are in recruiting, this situation was fluid. With sophomores David DeJulius and Colin Castleton in the transfer portal, U-M missing out on Lakewood (Calif.) Mayfair five-star shooting guard Josh Christopher Monday night and Raleigh (N.C.) Word Of God Christian five-star Isaiah Todd de-committing Tuesday morning, the Wolverines had two scholarships open for the 2020-21 season. Howard will take one of those spots, it appears, with an official introduction from U-M expected to come Thursday.
U-M's class currently sits as the top-ranked class in the Big Ten and the 13th-best in the nation.
Howard joins four-stars Hunter Dickinson, Zeb Jackson and Terrance Williams as the members of the 2020 class that will join the squad this coming season.
