June Recap: Who committed to Michigan during a busy official visit season?

Michigan had a very busy month of June, which included every weekend jam-packed with official visitors from all over the country.

Despite some misses towards the end of the month, the good far outweighs the bad with the Wolverines securing seven total commitments for the month as the 2024 class currently sits as a top-three recruiting class according to Rivals rankings.

Let's take a look at who committed to the program during the month of June.

Quotable: "The main one would be the coaches. I really got a good vibe from all the coaches, especially Coach Harbaugh. Meeting him in person was super cool. He's just one of those guys, he's got one of those crazy football minds and is focused all the time. Obviously, Coach Minter, defensive coordinator, he's one of the smartest guys I've ever met. He's just so quick with seeing different formations and what's the best way to attack it. It was fun to watch him coach. Coach Elston as well, he's just got the track record of great D-linemen."

Jaden Smith 6/12

Quotable (via head coach Sam Greiner): "The game is shifting, I think Michigan and some of these other teams were ahead of the curve. The 245-pound tackle-to-tackle inside linebacker is not really a guy anymore unless he's so cerebral that he's able to make up ground. It's a guy that can run sideline-to-sideline. Jaden is a guy that can cover people and run as fast as anybody. He has the capability of a 4.4 to low 4.5 40-yard dash but he has the ability to bend better than anybody you've ever seen. He can bend. His shins literally scrape the ground when he is making moves ducking under the tackles, making certain moves towards the quarterback. Or cutting off and being able to set the edge. He just does things that are uncoachable. The upside is just through the roof because you've got a guy who is 6'3, 230 pounds but he has the wingspan and shoulder frame that he can be a 230 guy and not even look blocky at all, he could fly at 230."

I'Marion Stewart 6/16

Quotable: “First off, great sports and it’s a great school. You’ll definitely be set for life after school, after football and then the coaches and the people down there are great and it’s a great atmosphere. I like it. It feels like home. That’s what it feels like. The people around there are great and it’s a great atmosphere.”

Micah Ka'apana 6/17

Quotable: "Honestly, of the 13 offers I had Michigan and Coach Hart just stood out to me,"

Devon Baxter 6/19

Quotable: "What it really is that they definitely have that great production at the EDGE spot. The coaches sat me down and broke it down on how I fit the mold and how I follow that blueprint that's already made at Michigan, I should be another one of those guys who come out a high level and producing on the next level. It really was Coach Roney and Coach Elston sitting me down and breaking it down to me on how they see me, how they can develop me and where I could be in the next four years.

Dominic Nichols 6/25

Quotable: "Position-wise, playing on the edge is where I felt most comfortable and it's where I've always wanted to play. Michigan having a strongside defensive end my size was a good fit. With(David) Ojabo,(Aidan) Hutchinson, andMike Morris coming from there, Michigan was definitely appealing."

Jeremiah Beasley 6/28

Quotable: "The whole coaching staff feels like family. We sit down and talk every time (I'm visiting campus) and it's always a good time. It feels like home, so I chose (Michigan)."
