Legion out of LOI: Baker leaves team

Mouth of Wilson (Va.) Oak Hill Academy's Alex Legion is no longer a Michigan signee. U-M head coach John Beilein released Rivals.com's No. 45 senior from his letter of intent today but indicated he'd still continue to recruit him.
"We have had several discussions with Alex and his family and they have expressed an interest in opening his recruitment," said Beilein. "We understand his situation and encouraged him to do so, giving Alex his unconditional release. We will continue to have dialogue with Alex and his family throughout this process.

"With his release, he is now a prospect again and due to NCAA compliance issues we can have no further comment on the situation."
Meanwhile, freshman Reed Baker is now exploring other options, as well, having decided to leave the program.
"With the fact that Reed's financial aid package had expired, he has decided to look into other options for his playing career," said Beilein. "We have encouraged Reed
to do so and will do whatever we can to help him with that process. We wish him nothing but the best in the future."
Baker played in 28 games for the Wolverines and averaged 2.5 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game.
