Michigan head coach John Beilein has won three Big Ten titles in his tenure, but some fans don't appreciate how good he's been. He's gotten his due nationally, however, including from ESPN, which named him to their "ultimate" college basketball team.

The team, made up of active college basketball players and coaches, lists Beilein as one of three assistant coaches under Rick Pitino.

"Beilein is the most underrated coach in the country," ESPN's Myron Medcalf wrote. "He knows the keys to developing raw talent, though. Just ask the six first-round picks he has produced during his time at Michigan. He'll help the roster reach its potential, too."

Beilein, entering his 11th season, has led the Wolverines to seven NCAA appearances, including three trips to the Sweet 16 and a National Title game appearance, and is coming Big Ten Tournament title season. He stands 215-135 at U-M despite having two of his recent teams decimated by injury.
