A source close to the program said that Michigan will be hosting three current Ole Miss players this weekend as they consider a possible transfer after the school was hit with sanctions by the NCAA.

Sophomore quarterback Shea Patterson, redshirt sophomore wide receiver Van Jefferson and sophomore safety Deontay Anderson will all be in Ann Arbor this weekend and are expected to be at the Michigan-UCLA basketball game on Saturday.

Patterson is a former five-star recruit and No. 3 overall player in the 2016 recruiting class. He started seven games this season before being inured, throwing for 2,259 yards, 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions with a completion percentage of 63.8.

Jefferson, a former four-star recruit, caught 42 passes for 456 yards and a touchdown this season and has 91 catches for 991 yards and four touchdowns in his college career.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is in Oxford, Miss. today visiting with Anderson, who sat out this season voluntarily after claiming he was mislead by the school. He had 32 tackles and an interception as a freshman.

He was also a four-star recruit.

Anderson took legal action against Ole Miss and has since been granted a full release, meaning he is eligible to play at any school immediately next year. Patterson and Jefferson would need a waiver granted by the NCAA to be able to play right away.

UPDATE: Per Pat Forde of Yahoo! Sports, Ole Miss has released its restrictions on what schools players can transfer to. Players can now transfer to SEC schools and schools on Ole Miss' schedule in the next two years.
