Cameron McGrone Goes Blue
Indianapolis Lawrence Central four-star outside linebacker Cameron McGrone announced that he would be committing to Michigan during a small ceremony at his high school.

The 6-1, 210-pound McGrone had been viewed as a potential Notre Dame lean for a long time but once he proved he was healthy after tearing his ACL last year and visited Michigan and picked up an offer, the Wolverines stepped into the pole position and never looked back. He spent the weekend in Ann Arbor for the BBQ at The Big House and that all but sealed the deal.
Along with Michigan, McGrone held offers from Notre Dame, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Northwestern among others, but the Wolverines won out. It can be tough to pull talent out of Indy, especially when the Irish are involved, but McGrone fell in love with Don Brown's system and couldn't pass on U-M.
McGrone is the second linebacker to join Michigan's 2018 class joining Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star outside linebacker Otis Reese. Both Reese and McGrone have position versatility as long, rangy, speedy linebackers who could bulk up in the future. McGrone, the No. 16 outside linebacker nationally and No. 4 player in Indiana, gives U-M 12 pledges in the 2018 class.
