Michigan's regular season is in the rearview and its bowl matchup is a couple of weeks off. That gives the coaches an opportunity to get in the homes and schools of recruits but also gives the staff a chance to host official visitors without any distractions. Bringing recruits in for a game at The Big House is obviously quite an event but losses, bad weather and an inflated visitor list are all a lot to deal with. Here's a look at who is planning to be in Ann Arbor this weekend.

Official Visitors

Note: Hutchinson has been committed since February and will sign next week. He's as solid as any commit has ever been as the son of former U-M All-American Chris Hutchinson and can't wait to make it official. The 6-6, 248-pounder can't wait to sport his dad's No. 97 this weekend for the photo shoot and then hopes to rock it next summer when he shows up as well.

Note: An Auburn commit since July, Sherwood has consistently mentioned Michigan as a program he wanted to check out in an official capacity. He and friend David Reese out of Vero Beach (Fla.) High checked out U-M earlier this year but then Sherwood pledged to the Tigers not long after. Gus Malzahn and his staff had a successful season and it seemed like Sherwood was locked up but his official visit to Ann Arbor this weekend says otherwise.

Note: Things are heating up in a hurry between the in-state product and Michigan. After Tommy Tremble committed to Notre Dame earlier today, the Michigan staff didn't take long to find a worthy replacement. VanSumeren just committed to Iowa in early November and planned to sign with the Hawkeyes next week — at least until Michigan got involved. The three-star athlete will now reportedly take an official visit to U-M this weekend which gets interesting since Iowa has a no-visit policy. If VanSumeren ends up officially visiting Ann Arbor, that might be a sign that he'll end up in Maize and Blue.
