Washington D.C. St. John's College High three-star pro-style quarterback Kevin Doyle announced via Twitter that he has committed to Michigan.
The 6-4, 210-pounder wasn't at the top of Michigan's board but after visiting two weeks ago for the Air Force game he immediately became a target to watch. He's been playing very well as a senior and picked up an offer within the past week or so.
Doyle had been considering offers from Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Pittsburgh and West Virginia, but once Michigan became a real option he didn't wait to make up his mind.
Michigan now has two quarterbacks committed in the 2018 class in Doyle and Orlando (Fla.) Olympia four-star dual-threat Joe Milton. The Michigan staff had been planning to take two quarterbacks in 2018 for a while but missed on Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton four-star Tyler Shough and Las Vegas Bishop Gorman four-star Dorian Thompson-Robinson. Doyle's commitment brings U-M's total up to 14 in the 2018 class, good for No. 25 in the country.
