Akron (Ohio) Hoban four-star offensive guard Nolan Rumler announced via Twitter that he has committed to Michigan.

The 6-4, 300-pound Rumler had been tabbed as a Michigan lean for a long time and after spending just part of the day in Ann Arbor for the BBQ at The Big House, he had seen enough and decided to pull the trigger.

Along with Michigan, Rumler held offers from Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Wisconsin among others, but the Wolverines won out. It's always tough to pull talent out of Ohio, especially when the Buckeyes are involved, but Rumler's ties to U-M were too strong. The Wolverines were also first to offer Rumler and that always stuck with him.

Indianapolis Cathedral four-star offensive guard Emil Ekiyor was one of Michigan's first commitments in the 2018 class and it looks like Rumler could be a similar centerpiece to offensive line recruiting in 2019. With family roots in the state of Michigan and a high affinity for the Wolverines since picking up his offer so long ago, don't expect Rumler to look around much. He and Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy three-star linebacker Charles Thomas give Michigan two very solid pledges to get things rolling in 2019.
