2018 Projection

Haskins has some potential as a big back with good balance, but likely won't be needed as a true freshman in 2018. He may well come in with some promise, but odds are that he'll be able to sit back and learn from other backs with a lot more experience. He'll have a chance to gain weight, strength and learn what Big Ten football is all about before being called upon.

They Said It

Eureka head coach Jake Sumner: "I think what sets him apart from other guys who have great natural talent like him is his fire and his work ethic. He’s the type of kid that you love building a team around. He’s talented and athletic, but he’s a great teammate and a great overall kid. With that talent coupled with how hard he works for it, he’s special. He takes advantage of every opportunity he has."

Rivals.com Midwest recruiting analyst Josh Helmholdt: "Haskins is a late bloomer, but he has always been a good high school football player. It is only recently that he has matured into a Power Five-caliber football prospect with the development of some physical tools; particularly greater quickness and agility. The balance, the vision, the toughness and the football IQ were there when I first saw Hassan play live more than two years ago."

St. Louis Christian Brothers High head coach Scott Pingel: "He’s big, he’s physical and he can definitely run between the tackles. I think he’ll be a great college back if he gets space. In space he’s spectacular."
