To mark the 20-year anniversary of the 1997 National Title winning Michigan football team, The Wolverine has compiled a ranking of the top 25 players at Michigan from that championship team to the present.

The list was determined by a vote by the staff of The Wolverine, which was then used to find an average ranking for the players. The vote was based on the player's performances as Wolverines, and any success the players had as pros was not taken into account.

We begin the list at No. 25, with wide receiver Jeremy Gallon.

Gallon came to Michigan as a four-star athlete recruit from Apopka, Fla., who was recruited by the Rich Rodriguez regime. At Apopka High, Gallon racked up 4,281 yards on 570 carries in his career and scored 53 touchdowns before becoming a Wolverine. The No. 31 player in Florida in the class of 2009 according to Rivals, Gallon was also a participant in U.S. Army All-American game.

After redshirting his first year on campus, Gallon saw at time in at least 12 games each of his final four seasons and was a starter in his last two seasons as a Wolverine. Gallon is best known for his performance at home in 2013 against Indiana as a fifth-year senior. Catching passes from quarterback Devin Gardner, Gallon hauled in a career high 14 passes for 369 yards, both career highs. Gallon added two touchdowns in the 63-47 victory. The 14 catches rank third in program history for catches in a single game, and the 369 yards are first all-time in a single game at Michigan. The yardage mark also stands as the Big Ten conference record and at the time was second in FBS history.

In addition to those marks, Gallon finished his career No. 3 in both career receiving yards and receptions, with 2,704 and 173, respectively. He also is No. 1 in single season receiving yards with 1,373 yards in 2013. He was also a member of the Sugar Bowl winning team following the 2011 season.

After leaving Michigan, Gallon was selected No. 244 overall in the NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Gallon was cut in August 2014 by the Patriots and has bounced around from various teams in the NFL and other football leagues, including time in Japan in the X-League where he reunited with Gardner.
