Michigan checked in at No. 11 in the AP college football poll released on Monday afternoon.
The Wolverines came in at No. 7 in last year’s preseason AP poll, before finishing 10th after a 10-3 season.
Three Big Ten teams came in rated higher than the Wolverines this year, with Ohio State at No. 2, Penn State at No. 6 and Wisconsin at No. 9. The Wolverines will face all three of those teams this season, along with Florida in the season-opener, who checks in at No. 17.
The Amway Coaches poll — which came out just over two weeks ago — had Michigan pegged at No. 9.
