The Wolverines' starting quarterback put together his most complete and relaxed performance of the season at Michigan Stadium against the Cornhuskers. After the game, he refused to take any credit, giving thanks to his offensive line and receivers and talking about how well every part of the team had played.

The stage was set, complete with charcoal gray November skies hanging over a holy cathedral of college football lore. The band played "Hail to the Victors." Nebraska and Michigan players charged out of the tunnel, while a Fiesta Bowl scout watched from the press box, and you figured this is what college football is all about.
This first trip through the Big Ten has really been terrific. Too bad they had to play the games.
