Michigan RB Blake Corum shocked many when he elected to forgo the NFL Draft to return to Ann Arbor for his senior season. Corum spoke of "unfinished business" after a knee injury ended his season, and he watched his team lose in the College Football Playoff to TCU.
Neither Michigan or Corum has been rushing his rehab, but have been pleased with the progress. Earlier this summer Corum began running and competing in drills. In a recent video series with The 33rd Team, Corum said he felt he was at 98%. The last piece that was missing was full contact, which he had not been cleared for yet.
With fall camp starting August 2, Corum believes he's in the best position yet to get back to being a full participant.
"I had a doctor's appointment the other day. I believe he cleared me."
Corum seemed slightly unsure, and suggested he may need to double-check but said he feels great and is ready to get back to working with his team.
"Now it's just being smart, going into camp, doing whatever I have to do to make sure this team is in the best position to win."
