They Said It
Rivals.com Midwest Recruiting Analyst Josh Helmholdt: "The first thing I noticed about him when I went to see him as a junior ... the kid is a gamer. When the game was on the line he took control of the team in the huddle. I watched him will his team back in a game that it looked like they were going to lose. That showed me a lot about his internal makeup.
"He’s a guy that has to develop. I want to seen him more fundamentally sound. There's some inconsistency in his delivery that leads to a lack of accuracy too often, but his arm strength is off the charts. He has no issue getting the ball to any points on the field."
Avon Head Coach Mark Bless: "He's very athletic. When he was a freshman he started on our varsity basketball team, so he's got some skills. He carries a lot of that ability over from the court to the football field ... He can make all of the throws. He's got all of the tools without question. His arm strength is good, but he'll have to bulk up for the contact at the Big Ten level."
