Photo Feature: Jordan Uniform Unveiling

Michigan football entered a new era Tuesday afternoon by rolling out the new Jordan brand uniforms. The event was hosted by Michigan alum Dana Jacobson and took place in the old Ford plant on Piquette Avenue in Detroit. Jacobson turned the mic over to athletic director Warde Manuel, head coach Jim Harbaugh, and U-M football legend Charles Woodson throughout the day.

Below are some photos of the event and, of course, the new gear sporting the Jumpman logo.

Jordan logos, Michigan slogans, and former greats adorned the walls around the old factory.
Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel talked about how the deal came together and what it means for athletics at Michigan moving forward.
Michigan alum Dana Jacobson MC'd and took the media through the factory room by room, one of which contained Michigan legend Charles Woodson.
Woodson talked about how Nike/Jordan and Michigan just feels right — like when he played.
Here Woodson talks about the Trainer 1's that will be available to the public later this week.
According to Woodson, this sweatsuit felt so comfortable that he compared it to pajamas.
The performance gear for coaches and players is a step up from Woodson's one sweatsuit in his day.
All of the Michigan apparel will don the Jumpman logo, not the Nike swoosh.
Cold gear is not available yet, but when the temperature drops in Ann Arbor, players and coaches will be prepared.
The elephant print, first made famous on the Jordan 3's back in 1988, can be seen in a lot of Michigan's new gear.

Jacobson ran into head coach Jim Harbaugh and he spoke about the Jordan/Michigan marriage.
A mannequin sported some of Harbaugh's garb and even had his signature Sharpie hanging from his neck.
Eventually, the final door was rolled aside and the jerseys were visible for the first time.
The road unis will once again be all white for Michigan in 2016.
The helmets are now a matte finish on the dark blue portion but remain glossy on the maize wings.
The overall look isn't much different but the Jumpman logo is obviously noticeable as is the paneling and venting of the new jerseys.
Michael Jordan's famous 23 was on each Michigan jersey.
Padded linemen gloves even have the iconic Jumpman logo.
Skill gloves are sleeker and are decorated with a partial Block M on both hands that creates a full picture when held together.
More elephant print on the cleats along with dark blue, padded socks for the home uniform.
The away uniform is similar to the home with the obvious different being the all-white color scheme.
More of that famous 23 sitting under the only school to have Jordan as an apparel brand in football.
Accessories, such as arm bands, sleeves, socks, and even visors will have have Jordan's iconic name on them.

A different version of the cleats, still with elephant print, will be worn with padded, white socks on the road.
