TheWolverine.com has confirmed that Flanagan High School head coach Devin Bush Sr. has been hired by Michigan as a defensive analyst.

The Wolverine.com spoke to Bush Sr. last week about the likelihood of him coming on board with the Maize and Blue, and he told us at that time that he would jump at the chance if an offered was officially extended.

A source close to Bush Sr. confirmed just minutes ago that the entire family is headed north to Ann Arbor.

The father of 2016 linebacker signee Devin Bush Jr., Bush Sr. has been a highly successful high school coach in Pembroke Pines, Fla., leading Flanagan to the Division 8A state title in 2015 with a 26-7 win over Osceola.

Flanagan went 12-2 a year ago and was 33-5 in three seasons with Bush Sr. in charge of the program.

He is a former Florida State football player (1993-94).

Michigan has not yet commented on Bush or issued a formal release.
