Report: Michigan lands a kicker

Michigan has received a commitment from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade kicker Matt Goudis, according to sources in Ann Arbor and reports from the West Coast. The former Boise State pledge, Rivals.com's No. 12 kicker nationally, visited for U-M's triple overtime over Illinois.
Goudis made nine field goals and 37 extra-point attempts to help the Eagles finish 11-2 last season, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Wolverines have struggled kicking the ball this year with redshirt freshman Brendan Gibbons, a former U.S. Army All-American, and walk-on Seth Broekhuizen. Both have kicked well in practice, head coach Rich Rodriguez said recently, but it hasn't translated to the field.
