Asiasi and his teammate, defensive tackle Boss Tagaloa, will announce together at noon local time (3 p.m. EST) at their high school. Both visited Michigan for the Jan. 22 weekend (along with a group that included now-commits Elysee Mbem-Bosse, Joshua Uche, and Eddie McDoom).

If one of the pair opts to leave the West Coast, Asiasi is the more likely bet. While his family would like to be able to make it to his games, his father, Dave, is also a fan of Jim Harbaugh from his days at Stanford and with the San Francisco 49ers. Alabama is also in the mix if he chooses to head out from California.

USC (which may be an emotional favorite) and UCLA (which boasts strong quarterback play and a more stable coaching situation than the program across town) remain contenders. The family will come to a final decision tonight, and make that choice public tomorrow. Asiasi could be the piece that helps bring his teammate to Michigan as well.
