U-M fans will get the chance to flood the Bradley Center

Michigan fans are expected to show up in droves for NCAA Second Round play at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, and it seems they'll have opportunities to get tickets at decent prices. There seems to be a widening gap in ticket prices between the two sessions tomorrow, with seats for the afternoon games featuring Wisconsin starting at $89 each while tickets for the Wolverines' evening session are available for as little as $29 apiece.

The average ticket price for the afternoon session is $156, according to SeatGeek.com, more than double the $68 average ticket price of the evening session. Normally, evening-session tickets in a given host city are more expensive because it's easier for fans to get to games after the end of the workday, but the Badgers' presence is causing a reverse of that trend in Milwaukee.

"We're very excited. This looks to be one of the best draws from a ticket selling point," John Lamoreaux, president of Ticket King in Milwaukee, told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel when the pairings were announced Sunday. "Michigan fans travel well. There are a lot of Michigan fans across the country and Michigan alums; they'll definitely increase our sales."

With No. 2 seeds Wisconsin and Michigan playing at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, NCAA tournament tickets in Milwaukee are among the most expensive in the country this week. The average ticket price of a full strip for the six games in Milwaukee is $403, making it the third-most expensive 2nd/3rd-round full strip behind only Buffalo ($465) and San Diego ($473).

The afternoon session at the BMO Harris Bradley Center tomorrow featuring Wisconsin is the second-most expensive ticket of the tournament's first day at an average ticket price of $156 behind only the afternoon games in Buffalo headlined by local favorite Syracuse ($182 average ticket price). Meanwhile, the evening session in Milwaukee is the second-cheapest individual session of the tournament at an average ticket price of $68 in front of only the Thursday night session in Spokane ($61 average ticket price).

Saturday's third-round session in Milwaukee, which could be headlined by both Wisconsin and Michigan, is the second-most expensive of the eight Saturday/Sunday sessions this year at an average ticket price of $204; only the Buffalo third-round session (potential for a Syracuse-Ohio State/Villanova-UConn doubleheader) is pricier at $209 per ticket.

Aside from UFC 164 last August (average ticket price of $207), Saturday's session is on pace to be the most expensive sporting event at the BMO Harris Bradley Center since 2009 when we began monitoring the secondary market.
