For the second consecutive week, Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy has won at least a share of the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week Award. Last week, McCarthy's three-touchdown performance against Indiana earned him the award. This week, McCarthy out did his performance from last week with a four-touchdown showing in East Lansing against the Michigan State Spartans.

This week, the Michigan quarterback shares the award with Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., who led his team to a 20-12 win over Penn State.

McCarthy threw for 287 yards and four scores on 21-27 passing, which was good for a 78 percent completion percentage.

To no Michigan fan's surprise, Roman Wilson was the first touchdown receiver of the night, but tight ends Colston Loveland and A.J. Barner stole the show after that.

Loveland hauled in two touchdown receptions, while Barner caught one as well. If it wasn't for an illegal shift penalty called on Donovan Edwards at the end of the first half, Barner would've had two along with Loveland.

In the last two weeks, McCarthy has thrown for 509 yards and seven touchdowns. With a subpar performance from Washington quarterback Michael Penix Jr. on Saturday night against Arizona State, McCarthy has now emerged as the Heisman Trophy frontrunner, according to many sports books.
