Many Michigan football fans are betting on Jim Harbaugh to take the Wolverines to the top of the college football world. Some, apparently, are using actual cash.

According to this piece by ESPN, Michigan is the most popular bet in Las Vegas to capture the 2016 national title. The Wolverines have out-done anyone else in the sportsbooks wagering, and have moved from 15-1 in the championship odds to 7-1, now trailing only Alabama, the consensus choice among pundits.

The Wolverines have been made a 41-point favorite in their season-opening game at home versus Hawaii on Sept. 3. Ohio State is now an 8-1 pick to win the national championship, and the line versus Michigan -- which opened with the Buckeyes as 6.5-point favorites -- has moved down to 5.
