To say that Michigan owns Indiana might be an understatement.
The Wolverines have beaten the Hoosiers in 36 out their last 37 games — including the last 21 — and lead the all-time series 56-9. Indiana’s last win over Michigan came in 1987 when Bill Mallory’s team took down Bo Schembechler’s 14-10 in Bloomington, Ind.
Michigan’s winning percentage of .862 against Indiana is its highest against any conference school.
Five of the last six meetings between the two schools have been quite competitive, however, dating back to 2009.
2009: No. 23 Michigan 36, Indiana 33.
Indiana out-gained Michigan in this game 467-372, but it was Tate Forcier lifting the Wolverines to a win with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Martavious Odoms with 2:29 left in the fourth quarter at the Big House.
2010: No. 19 Michigan 42, Indiana 35.
In another high scoring affair, Michigan pulled out the road win despite allowing 568 yards of offense to the Hoosiers. Michigan put up 574 yards of its own — led by quarterback Denard Robinson who threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns, while running 19 times for 277 yards and two more scores. Tandon Doss has 15 catches for 221 yards for the Hoosiers. Robinson rushed for the game-winning touchdown with 17 seconds left to play.

2015: No. 14 Michigan 48, Indiana 41. 2OT
The game that Indiana should have won. A last-minute touchdown by Michigan forced overtime, where the Wolverines were able to hold on for the win. Indiana running back Jordan Howard ran all over the Michigan defense for 238 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a poor defensive showing. Michigan quarterback Jake Rudock threw for 440 yards and six touchdowns.
2016: No. 3 Michigan 20, Indiana 10.
Michigan quarterback John O’Korn got his first start at Michigan and threw for 59 yards, but the defense picked him up and held Indiana’s offense in check in the snow. Michigan out-gained Indiana 284 to 255.
