• Redshirt freshman left guard Trevor Keegan, who was limited last game with a shoulder injury, is in street clothes. Second-year freshman right guard Zak Zinter, who was also limited at Nebraska, is warming up. A cast remains on his right wrist. The injury that has been limiting him is believed to be a leg ailment.

• In individual drills, the guards with the first group have been redshirt junior Chuck Filiaga and redshirt freshman Karsen Barnhart.

• Second-year freshman wide receiver Roman Wilson, who missed the last game at Nebraska, is going through warmups with what looks like a protective wrap on his left wrist.

• Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and Northwestern head man Pat Fitzgerald posed for a photo with the George Jewett Trophy, which will be the prize for today's game for the first time. Jewett was the first black player to play at Michigan, Northwestern and in the Big Ten.
