Michigan's Pass Catchers on Saturday:
Notes
• Junior wideout Nico Collins hauled in two catches for 65 yards and sophomore receiver Ronnie Bell two for 19 yards, meaning the latter’s team lead in receiving yardage over the former has shrunk to 21 (460 to 439).
• Collins’ big play abilities were on full display once again over the weekend with his 51-yard reception in the second quarter, en route to averaging 32.5 yards per catch on the day.
The junior is now tallying 19.9 yards per catch on the year, which is the second best average in the Big Ten, narrowly trailing Minnesota sophomore wideout Rashod Bateman’s 20.7 mark.
• Senior tight end Sean McKeon’s 29-yard reception in the second quarter was his longest since his sophomore year when he grabbed a 36-yarder against Michigan State on Oct. 7, 2017.
• Redshirt junior tight end Nick Eubanks’ five-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter was only the third TD grab of his career, with the other two occurring earlier this year at Illinois and in last year’s home win over Indiana.
He also dropped a ball, however, bringing his total to three on the season (tied for the second most on the team).
• After his career-high 73 yards against Notre Dame last week, freshman receiver Mike Sainristil failed to pull in a reception.
