The Cincinnati Bengals became the latest NFL team to select a Michigan defender in the 2017 draft by selecting Ryan Glasgow with the No. 138 overall selection.
A fifth-year senior in 2016, Glasgow registered 42 tackles and four sacks, as well as one forced fumble. Glasgow, who began his Michigan career as a walk on, played in 45 games as a Wolverine and finished with 91 total tackles over that span. The defensive tackle also had 18.5 tackles for loss at Michigan.
Ryan becomes the second Glasgow brother to be drafted into the NFL, joining older brother Graham who is a center for the Detroit Lions.
Both Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay, ESPN's draft analysts liked the pick for the Bengals.
"Looking at Ryan Glasgow, you think about a guy like Kyle Williams coming out of LSU for the Buffalo Bills," Kiper Jr. said. "This is an active, alert football player, hustles all the time. You think of where he is in terms of ability against the run, one of the top-notch run defenders I thought."
"He's a powerful grinder," McShay added. "The more tape you watch of him the more you come to appreciate his game. Versus the run he's really strong. He's never going to be an elite pass rusher but I was impressed."
