2022 Detroit Cass Tech four-star defensive tackle Deone Walker, a top Michigan target, was dominant in his team's season-opening 49-22 victory over Southfield (Mich.) High at Wayne State University. Walker played both ways and earned the Xenith Prep Kickoff Classic Iron Man Award.

2022 Germantown (Tenn.) High four-star Michigan commit Kody Jones is primarily a defensive back, but that doesn't mean he can't get it done on the offensive side of the ball too. Jones rushed for a 52-yard touchdown in a 28-23 win over Memphis (Tenn.) University Saturday.
